Dumaguete Cancer Awareness

All in all, there are more than 200 different kinds of cancers that can affect the human body. In the 2002 SEER report, the extrapolated number of Filipinos who have cancer was 395,982.

What really is cancer? This word has had its effect on many of us as if it were a sword hanging above our heads being held by a lock of hair that is ready to snap as soon as one’s doctor gives us the diagnosis.

It should not be so. If you look at it this way, then even without the disease, half the battle has already been lost. Yes, cancer is a battle. Yet it is a battle that we can readily fight for as long as we have the right battle gear.

Learn more about how it can be prevented and if you already have it, how it can be managed. All through something that is readily available to us: NUTRITION.
