The road to Valentines started weekend off with HEART STROKE on Saturday. It wasn't much compared to College Night considering it was the aftermath and was only thrown together a couple of days beforehand but people still went there and had fun. An interesting note is that it was mainly attended by high school students coming from their prom. One could easily see the next gen of party goers.

February’s main event LOVE SUX: The party for the Loveless and Dateless (well not quite) –often regarded as the party of the year, and now was on its 6th run. It was the most anticipated Love Sux to date –and that is going as far as considering that Love Sux is always the most awaited party event yearly since its conception. It did start as late as midnight for this year though but it was still able to kick ass and turned a Monday night into something you’d only see on an after exams weekend party. El Camino and Escano was packed! LOVE SUX once again proving why it has been the institution of February.

El Camino wasn’t the only place crowded on Feb 14. CafĂ© Antonio has also launched the 1st of its events for the year. JE TAIME (roughly translated as Love through a glass) also packed the place like never before. Candlelight, flowers, and romantic acoustic performances enchanted the night which served Grilled Pork Ribs and Red Wine to dating couples and groups of friends. It was a big night which only went bigger.
As a follow-up party after Feb 14, URBAN BEATS featured various DJs and Drumbeaters mixin’ it up and producing rhythm like no other that weekend. It packed a solid, jolly crowd that night that mostly came from bar-hopping at Hayahay, Zanzibar, and Payag sa Likod. On a side note, here are the must-try drinks from the said bars. Complete your night when you go out to party:
• Hayahay – Boracay (A coffee-based alcoholic drink best served at ‘Yahay. Think a pitcher of Baileys.)
• Zanizibar – Pinacolada (Milk and pineapple juice. A sweet exotic buzz maker. Careful.)
• El Camino – Suckerpunch (A must-try traitorous lemonade that’s not heavy on the stomach.)
• Payag – Payag Sling (The legendary fizzy four season pitcher that started it all. This is pride.)

pink party!!!
The February onslaught hasn’t really ended after Love Sux. PINK Party continued the trend of major parties a couple of weeks after. Pink was the color of life that night. They had pink decors coming down from the ceiling, pink lights, and PINK music by Aerosmith dance mixed playing. Free entrance with complimentary jelloshots to those who came in pink made the night more exciting. The first successful themed party of the year of any club! A very gorgeous night indeed.

the man!
